Why did we build this app?

A little bit of why we embarked on building this

Hey I'm Jonas 👋

I built Dewp because I kept running into the same problem:

I’d go on these beautiful trips
Spend thousands on flights, food, experiences
Take hundreds (okay, thousands) of photos…

And then never post any of them.

Not because I didn’t want to. But because the moment I got home, the idea of digging through my full camera roll felt impossible.

I tried using existing photo apps, but they were either targeted towards professional event photographers or they just made weird, bad albums for me

So I decided to build my own.

What makes Dewp special?

1. Your style should shape your curation.

Your Instagram feed is your fingerprint and something you've curated over the years so Dewp learns from it, instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all aesthetic.

2. The process should feel peaceful, not overwhelming.

Clutter fades, the best photos rise to the top, and creating an album becomes… enjoyable again.

A personal side to all this

Dewp is also a passion project for me — a way to push myself creatively and grow as a founder, designer, and builder.

Every animation, interaction, decision, and detail is something I’ve obsessed over because I want the experience to feel special, not just functional.

I hope that when you use Dewp, it helps you relive your memories without the stress! And actually share the moments you’ve already lived but never had the time to celebrate.
